About

Keeping you informed of the changes in your community, asking for your vision and voice!

Our team of local journalists and creatives publishes a quarterly newspaper to share neighborhood news, profile local leaders, celebrate creativity and support advocacy along the San Pablo Ave Corridor. Team members meet biweekly to discuss the newspaper’s overall direction and mission, workshop each other’s work, share resources and build community as a team.

The San Pablo Ave Community Newspaper (SPACN) team released its first edition in February 2023, with two more editions released in the summer and fall of 2023. In 2024, we have released Edition 4 and anticipate releasing Edition 5 later this year. Get in touch with us at SPACN.OAK [at] gmail.com!
